Since the publication of guidelines for small weddings and civil partnerships last week, the team have been working really hard to make sure that our rooms at the Register office, Crewe and Registration Office, Macclesfield are safe for ceremonies to take place.
Although the guidance gave a maximum of 30 for a ceremony, this really is dependant upon the size of the ceremony room. We would love to have everyone share your ceremony with you, just as much as you would too. At the moment though, it's really important that we keep everyone safe and work with the government guidelines and instructions.
For anyone having a ceremony at an Approved Premise in Cheshire East, we suggest you speak with your venue to find out how many people (up to the maximum of 30) they can accommodate in the their ceremony room.
If you are having your ceremony in the small statutory ceremony room at the Register Office or the Mayors Parlour, the new COVID safe capacity for this room is couple, two witnesses and two registrars. If your ceremony is in the Mayors Reception Room or Silk Room, the new COVID safe capacity is 20 (including the couple, two registrars and any other suppliers).
These numbers help us keep you and us safe, we’ll show you where to stand (we have gold hearts on the floor – no yellow and black hazard tape for us!) and guide you through our buildings to make sure you can concentrate on tying the knot and not having to think about where you should and shouldn’t be!
Remember if you need the team it's email@example.com or 01270 375140.
We can't wait to chat with you and really, really can't wait to see you
