17th March Your Ceremony and Covid-19

17.3.20

To you, our lovely couples. We hope today has been a good one for you, although probably a very different Tuesday to the one you envisaged only a week or so ago.

We are monitoring the UK government’s daily briefings and will the share our thoughts and messages with you all here too.

After having watched today’s briefing, the advice in terms of mass gatherings appears not to have changed, which is great news for us all. It still appears to related to concerts, sporting events, theatres, pubs and clubs where we are likely to come into close contact with people we don’t know – not our nearest and dearest celebrating with us. Our family and friends wouldn’t want to put any of us in a position that could cause hurt to someone we love. Maybe this is the time to start those conversations, I know my mum has already decided she’s not going anywhere!

We’ve also over the years seen the heartache that is caused when venues close their doors, to their customers, their team and them. Hopefully the raft of measures just announced in today’s briefings will help our fantastic venues too.

I guess the short answer to all this, is that it’s still business as usual at Your Ceremony. We will be there with you on your Big Day and here to help in the run up to it too! We have emailed our couples marrying in March, April and May (please check your spam/junk folder just in case) and will of course keep you updated here too.

One measure we have taken to protect our customers and team is to reduce the number of people attending our offices, this means that we (for the time being) are only offering notice of marriage appointments to couples marrying with the next six months
Please contact our team on 01270 375140 to make your appointment.

If you have any queries about your ceremony please email the team on ceremony support@cheshireeast.gov.uk

Remember when you booked us, you didn’t just book your registrar, you got yourself the entire team!

We’ll be back tomorrow but until then stay safe and be kind
