Located in the gorgeous Cheshire countryside on the edge of the Peak District National Park, Shrigley Hall Hotel is a romantic 19th century country house, a truly special venue for elegant weddings. With over 262 acres of grounds, it is ideal for those magical wedding shots that will last a lifetime.

Our stunning wedding reception rooms will wow your guests from the first sight, to the first dance. Beautiful suites dressed to your taste with the help of our creative team, whilst the services of our highly experienced wedding co-ordinators are second to none.

We have four beautiful function rooms to choose from, varying in size to accommodate even the most intimate of weddings and ceremonies. From 50 to 300 guests in attendance, we will still guarantee the same hands-on experience, no matter the length of your wedding guest list.

Wedding Open Day

Sunday 11th January 2026

Come along and see the magnificent Hall set up for a wedding. Your wedding can be as grand or as intimate as you would like. Chat to the Arley staff who will be able to answer any questions you may have about any part of your special day. There are various locations at Arley where you can get married, from inside The Hall, in the Gardens in our award winning double herbaceous border or in the historic Cruck Barn, making it your choice.

You can see them all at this open day. A selection of our highly recommended suppliers will be here, each supplier has worked with Arley before and so we know you will get an excellent service. If you are not familiar with the format of a wedding ceremony, together with the Cheshire East Registrars you can go through the main points so you will know what to expect.

Open 11.00am to 3.00pm. No booking necessary but we would appreciate it if you would register so we know how many visitors to expect, free entry and free parking, online registration is below.

Discover the magic of the Swettenham Arms at our Wedding Fayre, taking place from 12pm–3pm. Nestled in the heart of the Cheshire countryside, this historic 16th-century inn is a romantic setting full of character, rustic charm, and breath-taking natural surroundings.

On arrival, enjoy a complimentary glass of fizz as you explore the stunning Lovell Suite, beautiful gardens, and idyllic outdoor ceremony spaces. You’ll have the opportunity to meet our wedding coordinators, who will be on hand to answer questions and guide you through the venue’s bespoke packages.
