Were Engaged !!!

What Happens Next?

Congratulations from the Your Ceremony Team at Cheshire East Registration Service.

This exciting chapter marks the beginning of a fabulous journey towards your special day! As you bask in the glow of your engagement, its only natural to wonder, “what happens next”.

  1. Share the news and celebrate: the first order of business is spreading your wonderful news with your nearest and dearest. Whether it’s an intimate dinner for the two of you or a celebration with your family and friends, take the time to embrace the love and support surrounding you.
  2. Set the budget: a slightly boring but essential step in wedding planning is budget setting! Sit down with your other half and have a realistic discussion about your expectations and priorities for the big day. Talk about what elements of the day are most important to you. Share your vision, discuss themes and align your wedding day visions.
  3. Attend a wedding fayre: It’s like a real life Pinterest Board! Grab your other half and head over to a wedding fayre. The New Year is a great time to be hitting some Wedding Fayres as lots of venues have open houses for newly engaged couples to attend. Wedding Fayres and Open Houses are a great opportunity to chat to industry experts and start your wedding planning journey. Not sure which Wedding Fayres to attend? We’ve done the hard work for you! Check out some of the Fayres Your Ceremony will be attending on our Instagram page. (@yourceremony001)
  4. Venue Shopping: From grand stately homes to rustic barns, we are extremely lucky in Cheshire East and have it all! Book viewings with the venue’s wedding coordinators and have chat with them. Share your ideas, visions and really get a feel for the venue and the team. After all it will be the home of your Special Day.
  5. Book your registrar: Once you’ve provisionally reserved a date with your venue, it’s time to book us! We offer ceremony times and 10am, 12pm, 2pm , 4pm and 6pm and our diaries in Cheshire East open 3 years in advance – if you want have a legal ceremony conducted by award winning registrars, get in touch as soon as you’ve set the date!
  6. Finalise your suppliers: Now you’ve got your date and ceremony time sorted, you can now begin to look at your suppliers. It’s really important get the suppliers with limited availability booked. For example, a photographer can only do one wedding a day – if you like their style, get them booked and avoid disappointment.

The run up to your wedding is such an exciting time, and here at Your Ceremony, we will guide you every step of the way. Enjoy every moment and Happy Planning!
