Our blissfully secluded wedding venue, The Love Shack, sits nestled within the Acer Glade at Moss Wood, surrounded by ancient woodland and twinkling lights. A hidden gem, the perfect antidote to a traditional wedding venue and seriously romantic. Wendy and Dominic welcome you to stay at their boutique luxury lodges and give you complete exclusivity of both the lodges and grounds for your special day.
Ceremonies take place in The Love Shack or alternatively say ‘I do’ within your luxury lodge itself, all are licenced for civil ceremonies.
The lodges are stunningly designed, intimate and elegant with the lake as a backdrop. We offer our second luxury lodge for your nearest and dearest. Moss Wood specialises in elopement weddings, just for two and up to eight guests.
Expect a very warm welcome and every effort to make your wedding small, but perfectly formed here at Moss Wood.

‘The Shimmy Shack’ – New to The Love Shack and located in the woods. This re-furbished function room has a venue styled dining table set for a maximum of 8 for 2023 and for 2024 we are able to extend these numbers to a maximum of 10 people, including the wedding couple. A great space to chill with a glass of champagne before your wedding ceremony and to continue with celebrations afterwards. We work with a number of wonderful outside caterers who can provide impressive platters of food, a delicious afternoon tea and/or an evening meal to suit all tastes. We provide you with a full suppliers list to help with further planning and ask you to contact the suppliers directly to discuss your requirements. If you wish to bring in your own caterers, they are welcome to use our catering kitchen for their preparation.
